[Thanks to Seraphina and Trina for holding down the fort while I was on vacation. Big week ahead, starting with Bill Wyman’s 75th birthday today …]

Monday madness:

Gold Panda, the U.K. producer whose career took off in 2010 after the release of his debut “Lucky Shiner,” visits the Echoplex. He has a mixtape titled “DJ-Kicks” coming Nov. 8 that includes a new original track “An Iceberg Hurled Northward Through Clouds” (below), and on this night he will be supported by Stones Throw whiz kid Jonti and Touché, the new collaboration between Alex Lilly (Obi Best) and Bram Inscore.

‣ Irish rock quartet Echogram visits the Hotel Cafe – that’s their video for “Conspiracy,” above. Their set is preceded by a performance by 8mm.
Hot As Sun has a rather interesting cover of Van Halen’s “Hot for Teacher” – they performed it at a fashion show a couple of weeks ago – and you might even hear it again tonight when they join Shadow Shadow Shade and Golden Boy as support for Youngblood Hawke’s residency at the Satellite.
‣ The finale of Mind the Gap’s residency at the Bootleg Theater features an opening set from Minneapolis singer-songwriter Ryan Traster – check out his track “Junkie Bones” here – along with support from the Peach Kings and Kingsley.
‣ And Indians wind up their residency at the Silverlake Lounge, with the Royal Heist and Risers supporting.
