Saturday night’s all right for frightening:

KCRW’s Masquerade ball returns to the Park Plaza, featuring performances by Mariachi El Bronx, Dengue Fever (pictured) and Milagres along with DJ sets by Moby and Andre Allen Anjos, the frolicking of the circus troupe Lucent Dossier, live art and more.
Night 2 of the HARD Haunted Mansion at the Shrine boasts sets from Soulwax, Skrillex, Major Lazer and more.
‣ It’s Malian magic from Tinariwen at the Luckman Center for the Arts at Cal State L.A.
Nightmare & the Cat headline a Halloween party at the Bootleg Theater. Brothers Django and Sam Stewart recently released their debut EP, and the New Limb and Capital Cities support.
‣ And Vaud & the Villiains bring their bawdy, wildly entertaining New Orleans-style music to the Mint.
