[Happy November. And happy birthday to Eulogies’ Peter Walker …]
Tuesday’s touts:
‣ Shonen Knife have been fun for a long time, and on many continents. The Japanese pop-punk standouts are celebrating their 30th anniversary as a band, and they visit the Echoplex on the heels of their latest release “Osaka Ramones,” a tribute to the band in whose shadow they’ve rocked for three decades. The high energy starts early, with L.A.’s Monolators and the Bay Area’s Shannon & the Clams opening.
‣ Deer Tick hits the Echoplex behind their new album “Divine Providence,” and Richie James Follin’s new project Guards [background here] open, along with Australia’s Bleeding Knees Club.
‣ Minus the Bear’s string of 10-year aniversary shows continues tonight at the Troubadour.
‣ Mastodon rocks the Wiltern behind its latest release “The Hunter.”
‣ And Uh Huh Her, the Camila Grey/Leisha Hailey collaboration that in October released its new album “Nocturnes,” will have the house of Blues electropopping.
