KCRW’s “Are Friends Eclectic?” holiday benefit, originally planned as a two-night event, will go off as a one-night affair featuring headliners Jimmy Cliff and Iron & Wine (pictured). Tickets for the show Dec. 3 at downtown’s Orpheum Theatre start at $60. The rest of the formidable lineup lineup includes Other Lives, the Belle Brigade, Anna Calvi, the Secret Sisters, Mia Doi Todd and Zee Avi, along with promised “special guests.”

The scaling back of the event was perhaps a reflection of the lean economic times. “Early ticket sales for the first night were slow,” KCRW music director Jason Bentley said, “so we decided to make it one blockbuster night of KCRW music that will blow your mind.”

Iron & Wine, by the way, will release a vinyl edition of its “Morning Becomes Eclectic” session as part of the second annual “Back to Black Friday Record Store Day” on Nov. 25.
