Yelle, Ra Ra Riot shows tonight are postponed

Two big shows in Los Angeles tonight have been scotched at the last minute.

Citing “complications with visas” in an announcement on its website, French dance-pop trio Yelle (pictured at left) posted its date at the Wiltern and rescheduled it for Monday. The band’s date Saturday in San Francisco is unaffected. Tonight’s show was to have been the opener of the band’s “Safari Disco” tour.

Ra Ra Riot’s show at the El Rey Theatre has been postponed because of singer Wes Miles’ continuing problems with his vocal chords, which forced show cancellations earlier this week in Tucson and San Diego. No makeup date has been announced.

Update, 4 p.m.: Yellow Ostrich, who were scheduled to open for Ra Ra Riot, have been added to the bill at the Silverlake Lounge – 8 p.m. set time.
