‣ KCRW’s “Are Friends Eclectic?” holkiday benefit at the Orpheum Theatre features Jimmy Cliff, Iron & Wine, Brett Dennen, Other Lives, Mia Doi Todd, White Denim, the Belle Brigade, the Secret Sisters, Zee Avi and others.
‣ Jane Birkin makes her first Los Angeles appearance in seven years at Cal State L.A.’s Luckman Fine Arts Center. The Serge Gainsbourgh muse, who will be backed by a Japanese band, will present a program titled “Serge Gainsborugh & Jane Via Japan.”
‣ With Noel Gallagher recently having stormed L.A. for two successful shows, brother Liam brings his band Beady Eye to the Wiltern Theatre behind its debut release “Different Gear, Still Speeding.” Belgium’s the Black Box Revelation and L.A.’s Incan Abraham open.
‣ KIIS FM’s Jingle Ball 2011 goes off at the Nokia Theatre with a lineup boasting Lady Gaga, David Guetta, Flo Rida, Sean Paul, Gym Class Heroes, Taio Cruz, Big Time Rush and others.
‣ And San Diego indie veterans the Black Heart Procession visit the Satellite, with Chelsea Wolfe opening. That’s the Black Heart Procession’s video for “Rats,” above.
