So many good shows tonight – in the interest of self-promotion, we’ll start with our own:
‣ Buzz Bands LA’s SecondTuesday, our monthly songwriter night, brings Correatown, Imperial Mammoth, College Kids and Will Courtney to Lot 1 Cafe in Echo Park for a night of acoustic or semi-acoustic sets. The music starts at 9:15.
‣ Rock quartet Dead Sara (pictured), newly signed to Universal imprint Pocket Kid Records and with a debut album coming in May, headline the Troubadour, supported by Little Hurricane, Last in Class and the Feaver. It was way back in June that we’re premiered Dead Sara’s Lemon Scent – they smelled like the real deal from the first note.
‣ Pisces, the solo venture of the Happy Hollows’ Sarah Negahdari, and Little Red Lung team up at the Hotel Cafe.
‣ Jason Simon (of Dead Meadow) – now going by Old Testament, according to his Facebook postde – joins Rocco DeLuca and Infantree for another in the series of free “Satellite Nights” at the Satellite.
‣ Olin & the Moon and Maxim Ludwig and the Santa Fe Seven continue their fun “Beer and Bingo” residency at the Echo, with Paulie Pesh playing tonight.
‣ Last American Buffalo continues its free residency at Harvard & Stone.
