Video: Jeffertitti’s Nile, ‘Midnight Siren’

One thing about Jeffertitti’s Nile last full-length album, “Hypnotic River of Sound”: With a title like that, you don’t need a lot of adjectives to describe what they’re doing. With their guitar benders and reverb-soaked vocals, the psych-rock revivalists have one hand in the 1960s and the other in their parents’ medicine cabinet. And so it goes with their new single, “Midnight Siren,” seemingly lifted from a sun-baked 8-track tape I once left on the back seat of my Chevy Impala. The video, the work of Alec Singer and Johnny Maroney, brings to mind the Grateful Dead lyric “What a long, strange trip it’s been” – except, I guess, that it continues to be.
