OK Go takes to the road – OK, the off-road – for their latest video shenanigans. The quartet, known for wildly imaginative and and intricately choreographed videos involving treadmills, dogs, Rube Goldberg machines and colorful jumpsuits, becomes an instrument of Chevrolet in director Brian Perkins’ video for “Needing/Getting.” And the Chevrolet itself becomes a musical instrument. According to MTV.com, where the video premiered today, more than 1,100 homemade instruments, along with 55 pianos and a slew of guitars, were used to bang out the tune. The commercial will air during today’s Super Bowl.
