Greg Laswell may have packed up his gear and moved to New York, but he’s still got his SoCal roots. So it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise he’s recruited Hotel Cafe songbird Sara Bareilles to duet with him on his new single “Come Back Down.” Driving piano arpeggios, mighty vocals and tight harmonies make this another sweeping pop anthem from the singer-songwriter, and its music video sets a powerful tone with racing images (both broad and detailed) to keep up with the song’s tempo. “Come Back Down” is from Laswell’s forthcoming album “Landline,” which is slated for an April 24 release via Vanguard Records.
