Hello, first weekend in March, so nice to see you:
‣ Garage-rocker Ty Segall (his trio is pictured) – he of the raucously good “Goodbye Bread” album released last summer – announced last week that he would be doing a collaborative album with White Fence, the latest project from Darker My Love’s Tim Presley. That album, “Hair,” will be out April 24 on Drag City. Tonight, both acts rock the Troubadour.
‣ Good bill at the Echo – Toronto’s Elliott Brood headlines behind their new album “Days Into Years,” with fellow scorching Canadians the Pack A.D. opening.
‣ Boston metallurgists Junius headline the Satellite behind their second album, “Reports from the Threshold of Death,” with Atlanta’s O’Brother – check out their track “Lo” here – opening.
