Another massive night of Coachella “sandwich” shows, and some other gems:

‣ Wild Flag, the all-star quartet featuring Carrie Brownstein [pictured] and Janet Weiss (Sleater-Kinney) along with Mary Timony (Helium) and Rebecca Cole (the Minders), was one of our Week 1 Coachella highlights. They join two other artists playing the two weekends in the desert, First Aid Kit and EMA at the El Rey Theatre.
‣ Gotye, who packed them at his Coachella tent show, joins Missy Higgins at the Nokia Theatre.
‣ U.K. electro-rockers the Big Pink bring their Coachella-worthy noise to the Echo, where locals IO Echo and KO KO open.
‣ A new series titled “Transmission LA: AV Club” kicks off at the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA downtown tonight featuring a performance from Santigold. Curated by the Beasti Boys’ Mike D, the series runs April 21, 26, 27 and 28 and May 3 and 5, featuring, among others, Diplo, the Stones Throw Records luminaries, James Murphy and more. It’s free.
‣ Frankie Rose headlines the Satellite behind her new album “Interstellar.”
‣ And there’s a big local lineup at the Roxy – Nico Vega, Standing Shadows, Loquat and A House for Lions – to play the launch party for ThrillCall, a new ticket-purchasing and music-promotions application that hit L.A. this week.
