‣ It’s that time of the month – BuzzBands LA’s SecondTuesday Songwriter night at Lot 1 Cafe features performances by Taylor Locke & the Roughs (in a special acoustic setup with strings), Davis Fetter, Sarah Winters and the debut of solo material by Michael Goldman of Chasing Kings.
‣ U.K.’s the Wombats headline the El Rey Theatre [that’s their video for “Jump Into the Fog” above] with the Static Jacks opening. However, extra early arrival is strongly suggested for the Neighbourhood [see “Wires” from Monday], the newbies from Newbury Park whose recent singles have been all the rage.
‣ OFF! celebrates the release of their self-titled debut record over at Whiskey a Go-Go with punk rockers San Diego’s Spider Fever and L.A.’s own FILDAR joining in on the fun.
‣ Snow Patrol takes on the Hollywood Palladium with the help of supporting act Ed Sheeran.
‣ The Mowgli’s also celebrate tonight with their debut album “Sound the Drum” out today, and a party they will be having. Tonight’s full lineup at the Roxy also includes Terraplane Sun, Jensen Reed, Samuel Larsen and Le Paige.
‣ NYC band Harper Blynn continues their residency over at Hotel Cafe. Also playing: Alex Wong, Mariana Bell, Among Savages and Casper Vulpius.
