‣ Resurgent U.K. pop singer Daniel Bedingfield (remember “Gotta Get Thru This” from 2002?), on the heels of his first release since 2004, plays the Hotel Cafe tonight as part of the SuperSoul Mondays 3-Year Anniversary Party, along with Jason Joseph & the Spectacular and more. Bedingfield’s new EP “Stop the Traffik – Secret Fear” is available for free download at his website.
‣ Residencies at the Eastside clubs are going great guns: At the Bootleg Bar, Harriet is joined by the Soft White Sixties, Sue Scrofa and Gothic Tropic; Caught a Ghost’s “Hereafter”-themed night at the Satellite feaures Fur Traders, the Peach Kings and Paper Pilots; and Baron Von Luxxury and Harlan continue their dual residency at the Echo, with Portland’s Jewels of the Nile and L.A.’s Cassorla opening.
‣ It’s a loaded schedule at It’s a School Night at Bardot, with 22-year-old Londoner Lianne La Havas making her L.A. debut. She’s joined by Chappo, London Souls, Telephoned and Jason Bentley. Doors for the free, RSVP-only night will open early, at 8.
‣ And a big free show at the Roxy features Hell or Highwater and Lady Sinatra, along with Beta Wolf, Sons of the Damned and All Hail The Yeti.
