Sunset Strip Music Festival lineup expected soon; Bad Religion, the Offspring on board this year?

The Sunset Strip Music Festival is doing it up big. The announcement of the festival’s lineup is expected Wednesday morning, and it might include two of SoCal’s longest-running purveyors of punk rock, the Offspring and Bad Religion, sources tell me. As we reported last week, Marilyn Manson is expected to headline. Meanwhile, an artist described as “one of the L.A.’s most popular DJs” (your guess is as good as mine) is expected to be in the mix as well. No word on whom the Sunset Strip will honor with its annual “Elmer Valentine Award” – a kind of lifetime achievement award for contributions to the legendary West Hollywood district. Motley Crue, Slash and Ozzy Osbourne have received in the honor in the past. This year’s festival goes off Aug. 16-18.
Steve Aoki is the LA DJ.
