Your Monday menu:
‣ U.K. R&B-pop outfit Graffiti6, who were a hit during last year’s Also I Like To Rock series, return to L.A. for a headlining show at the Troubadour. Labelmate Nick Hartman supports with R&B soul singer Yuna.
‣ JJAMZ‘s residency resumes at the Satellite. Chicago’s young buzzy band the Orwells [See “Mallrats (La La La)”] and Royal Teeth join in on the fun. Oh, and a secret guest is scheduled to help them go out with a big bang.
‣ ZZ Ward does a night at Bardot as part of It’s A School Night. Also on the bill: Fast-rising L.A. electro-poppers DWNTWN, Sweden’s pop duo Icona Pop [That’s their video for the catchy “I Love It” above] and Kodaline. Tanlines does a DJ set, too.
‣ It’s packed bill for the Bootleg where the Colourist and Blondfire wrap up their co-residency. Kitten [See their video for “Cut It Out”] and Monokino support.
‣ Mansions on the Moon hold down the fort on the West side for their residency at the Central SAPC. This week’s show includes the New Limb and a DJ set from Eve Falcon.
‣ Experimental electronic trio E.S.P. also plays their last residency show with Adventure Time, Pharaohs and Drug Cabin [See “Barracuda”] at the Echo.
