‣ Singer, songwriter, provacateur and online sensation Amanda Palmer, her new album “Theater Is Evil” due Sept. 11, swings through L.A. for two events this week. Tonight, Amanda Palmer & the Grand Theft Orchestra play to a sold-out Roxy Theatre, and on Thursday she’ll appear at the Pop Tart Gallery, where work commissioned for the album (Shepard Fairey, David Mack, Kristin Hersh, Molly Crabapple, Tao Lin, Robyn Hitchcock and DJ Spooky are among the artists) is being exhibited through July 26.
Ferraby Lionheart, with a new album on the way in the fall, plays a full-band show at the Bootleg Bar, with Line & Circle and Detective opening. That’s Lionheart’s video for “Pocketknife,” off his 2010 album “Jack of Hearts.”
