‣ Jesca Hoop, who earned raves for her show earlier this week at Largo, continues her West Coast tour behind her new album “The House That Jack Built.” She’s touring with Grammy winner Jesse Harris, whose own new album “Sub Rosa” came out last month. Tonight they play the Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa along with Voxhaul Broadcast and the Ultimate Bearhug.
‣ Hanni El Khatib rocks a free evening at the park at Levitt Pavilion Pasadena (with Tijuana Panthers).
‣ Olin & the Moon have been trying out material for their new album on their recent tour. Tonight they play the Hotel Cafe prior to a set by South Carolina duo Shovels & Rope.
‣ The Entrance Band continues its Thursdays-in-August residency at the Satellite, playing with White Magic and Paz Lenchantin.
‣ Black Apples celebrate the release of their new 7-inch “Cover Up” with a date at the Echo, supported by Young Hunting, Last Single Palms and Basement Babies.
