Chasing Kings’ debut album “Nice Guys” has been simmering on the stove for about a year now, and the big news today is that it will finally be released Oct. 2. It’s an adrenaline-charged stew of pop hooks, shifting tempos and subversive humor from a band that’s paid its dues in Los Angeles and documented some of those experiences in quite sophisticated fashion. Matt Schwartz, Mike Goldman and Nick Sandler (Drew Beck left the band last spring) have eschewed flavor-of-the-moment stylings ever since their 2009 EP “The Current State of Our Future.” It will be welcome, come October, when the current state of “Nice Guys” is: in heavy rotation.

This band is horrible.
I love Chasing Kings!!!! Lead singer Matt Schwartz has a sweet, accurate voice and a their harmonies are excellent!
Chasing Kings Rock. Their music can be heard on several Los Angeles radio stations and they are on a USA summer tour. Samantha – Have you seen them live? Have you heard all of their music? PEACE.
I have been following this band for years and always wondering why they are not huge yet! They have a very unique sound which is hard to find these days. The music is deep and multi textural, yet it always is pleasing and brings joy to the listener! Their music is far more mature than the age of these performers. I am always eager to hear more and their tunes get caught in my head and I find myself singing parts of their songs all day long.
I LOVE this song. Seriously some of the most talented musicians that I’ve heard in awhile, and they’re phenomenal live. So glad they’re getting some visibility, definitely a band to watch.
Awesome band whose music is part of my personal collection. I hope to see them in person one day. I can’t wait for October 2 to acquire more of their music.
I have seen Chasing Kings live several times. Matt (the lead singer) has a great voice and a shy but unequally fresh personality on stage. I would recommend listening to their songs a few times before you make a decision on how you feel, I am a Phil Collins fan and Matts voice reminds me of him.
The best part is my whole family likes this band, I am over 50 and my youngest is 16 and when Chasing Kings play at an all age venue we all look forward to going, even if we have to drive 2 hr’s to see them. Good luck on the tour and we look forward to seeing you guys (nice guys) when you get back to the left coast.
