Tarfest lineup features Blondfire, Soft Swells, Helena and more for free show Sept. 22 at La Brea Tar Pits

Rising electro-pop outfit Blondfire will be joined by Soft Swells, Helena, So Many Wizards, the Steelwells and the Makepeace Brothers at this year’s Tarfest, the annual celebration of music and art on the Miracle Mile.

The free outdoor concert on Saturday, Sept. 22 at the La Brea Tar Pits Park (5801 Wilshire Blvd.) kicks off at 2 p.m. It’s the second year the musical offerings at Tarfest have taken to an outdoor stage – Saint Motel and Everest headlined last year’s festivities, which feature live art and sculpture, a beer and wine garden, informational booths and food trucks. Blondfire will also be playing a free show on Tuesday, Sept. 18, at the Federal Bar in North Hollywood as part of the monthly KCSN/Buzz Bands LA local music series.
