‣ Sibling-fueled indie-pop band Blondfire [that’s Bruce and Erica Driscoll, pictured] heads up a free show as part of the KCSN / Buzz Bands LA series upstairs at the Federal Bar in North Hollywood. It’s an early affair – doors at 7:30, with Blondfire kicking things off at 8, followed by Go West Young Man and Western Scene.
‣ Matisyahu and the Dirty Heads co-headline the Palladium – Matisyahu’s new album “Spark Seeker” came out in July, and the Dirty Heads’ latest “Cabin by the Sea” came out in June.
‣ Japanther [see Monday’s post] roars into the Bootleg Bar, supported by Dirt Bird, Dignitary Loss and Spirit Vine.
‣ And London art-pop outfit Breton plays the Echo behind their strong debut album “Other People’s Problems,” with Michna, Matthewdavid and Mwahaha rounding out the evening.
