I go away for a week, and look what happens – my mailbox explodes with new music. That’s not supposed to happen in October. Alas, I will sample some of these fresh wares tonight on the L.A. Buzz Bands Show on KCSN (88.5 FM, streaming at KCSN.org). Among the recent arrivals: songs from the Gram Rabbit, Local Natives, the Ross Sea Party, United Ghosts, Monte Mar, Olin & the Moon and Pretend Electric. In addition, we’ll hear from Gliss and the Breakups (both of whom are playing the big Buzz Bands LA anniversary show that I am sure is marked on your calendar), along with Warships, Lord Huron and whatever else I can pack into an hour on FM airwaves.
