Lord Huron celebrates the release of its stellar album “Lonesome Dreams” with a sold-out show at the Echo. The Lonely Wild opens.
‣ There’s a huge Dia De Los Muertos celebration at Grand Park downtown. It’s free, runs from 5 p.m. to midnight and features Mariachi El Bronx, El Conjunto Nueva Ola, Upground, Buyepongo, Trio Ellas, DJs, visual artists and more.
Grace Potter & the Nocturnals headline the Wiltern behind their latest album “The Beauty the Beast the Beat.” That’s their video for “Stars,” above.
‣ Aussie quartet Husky, recent signees to Sub Pop, visit the Satellite behind their first album “Forever So.” Hannah Georgas and Thrillionaire open.
Ryan Darton & the Wildebeast do the 10:30 slot the Hotel Cafe, where the live show will be recorded and given to fans afterward (no extra charge). Earlier at Cahuenga Boulevard venue: Hotel Cafe favorite Meiko. And later there’s the first installment of the Friday night residency from Famous in Iowa.
‣ And there’s a sweet little Dia De Los Muertos show going off at El Cid tonight, featuring the Peach Kings and Raw Geronimo.
