‣ The supergroup of Britt Daniels, Dan Boeckner and Sam Brown, Divine Fits, play the Fonda Theatre in support of their album “A Thing Called Divine Fits” (out now on Merge). That’s their Brian Butler-directed video above for “Would That Not Be Nice.” Cold Cave open with their new lineup. [Check out “A Little Death To Laugh.”]
‣ Electric Guest, NO and the Colourist all team up at El Rey Theatre. [NO also plays with Mighty Forces as part of Gary Calamar’s Mimosa Sundays event earlier at 11 A.M. at the Federal Bar.]
‣ It’s a solid local lineup with Max & the Moon, Young Empress, Northern Youth and Little Brave at the Satellite.
‣ Mark Eitzel and Tommy Santee Klaws play an early show at the Echo (7:00), and Part Time Punks comes in later (10:00) with Terry Malts and Dunes.
‣ Then downstairs, Buyepongo, Chicano Batman, Olmeca, La Chamba, Jungle Fire, Quita Penas, DJ Anthony Valdez (KCRW), DJ Sloepoke, Ervin Arana all celebrate Day of the Dead at Echoplex.
