For complicated reasons, we’ll keep it short and sweet this morning:

‣ Toronto trio METZ, whose self-titled debut came out last month on Sub Pop, took the recent CMJ festival by storm with (speaking of storms) their thunderous return to the punk and hardcore of 20 years ago. METZ visits the Echo tonight supported by Vinyl Williams and Batwings Catwings. That’s METZ’s video for “Wet Blanket,” above; you can download their great song “Headache” right here.
