Jackson Browne and friends perform a benefit for KCSN at the Valley Performing Arts Center
‣ Latin Grammy nominee Ana Tijoux heads up a night at the Echoplex, supported by Kamasi Washington and Chicano Batman. That’s her video for “Volver,” above.
‣ Omaha dance-rockers the Faint [see last week’s post] headline the Fonda Theatre, playing their 10-year-old gem “Danse Macabre” in its entirety, among other songs old and new. Trust and Casket Girls open.
‣ And Everclear and Eve 6 team up for a night at the El Rey Theatre. Each of the long-running SoCal rockers released a new album this year – “Invisible Stars” from Everclear in June, and “Speak in Code” from Eve 6 in April.
