Buzz Bands LA welcomes Wages, Fairbanks and Christopher Hawley to its SecondTuesday songwriter night at Lot 1 Cafe on Dec. 11.

Wages started as a collaboration between Nick Campbell and James DeDakis, with Campbell currently fronting the L.A. version of the band while DeDakis remains on the East Coast. Wages’ forthcoming EP “Shady Chamber” is a sampling of their gorgeous atmospheric pop. Fairbanks is a new collaboration between Erik Flores (of Monstro Flora) and Amelia Rose Logan, an Austin native and recent arrival to L.A. who sang and played with many notables during her time in Texas. Expect some sweet Americana. Christopher Hawley, who fronts the band the Christopher Hawley Rollers, makes finger-pickin’ good roots music. His fourth album “Meditations” reveals his virtuoso slide guitar work and heady songwriting informed by his troubadour travels.

Doors open at 8:45. A $5 donation is requested; proceeds go to the artists. Lot 1 serves tasty beer, wine and food.
