Sunday’s shows:
‣ Big Sunday evening of rock at the Wiltern, where Slash featuring Myles Kennedy, as well as the Conspirators, turn up the volume. The show was originally scheduled for October but was postponed then because vocalist Kennedy was ill.
‣ Rockdrive, a benefit for the victims of Hurricane Sandy, goes off at the Hotel Cafe, with Holly Conlan, Madi Diaz, Cary Brothers, Harper Blynn, Meiko and Joe Purdy lending their talents, among many others. Proceeds go to the Red Cross.
‣ No Doubt and Fitz & the Tantrums do another sold-out night at the Gibson Amphitheatre.
‣ And the weekly Part Time Punks night at the Echo has an interesting treat: A live appearance from Eleven Pond, a trio originally from Rochester, N.Y., who released one album of dark synth-pop in 1986 and vanished – until the album was re-released in 2009 and the wheels starting turning again. Consider what’s going on in indie music today, their old songs sound fresh.
