Too early to start marking your concert calendars for 2013. We think not. One of the city’s favorite live music series – the Natural History Museum’s First Fridays – returns just in time for you to sip away your New Year’s Eve hangover.
Rising L.A. stars Lord Huron, whose debut album “Lonesome Dreams” came out in October, kick off the six-month series – which brings live music to the museum’s North American Hall of Mammals – on Jan. 4. Wildcat! Wildcat! will open. The Gaslamp Killer will play the second show of the series, on Feb. 1. Lineups for the ensuing nights have not yet been announced.
In keeping with the museum’s centennial, this year’s theme is “100 Back, 100 Forward.” Galleries will be open prior to the concert, and as in the past, the museum will present tours and discussions. An $18 ticket guarantees you admission to the concert.
