Wednesday’s shows:

‣ Buzz Bands LA’s free night at the Satellite features new music from eaturing Seven Saturdays and Western Lows,  along with almost-new tunes from Auditorium and Pretend Electric.
‣ Paul Banks, the Interpol main man, headlines the Fonda Theatre in support of his solo album “Banks.” The Neighbourhood and Electric Flower Group support.
‣ L.A. R&B/jazz/funk veteran Shuggie Otis, who released three albums between 1969 and ’74, continues his comeback tour at the Echoplex, with Dam-Funk and Music Man Miles along for the ride. More background in our Week Ahead post.
‣ Tom Morello, as the Nightwatchman, holds forth at the Troubadour. Morello has been sharing some old Rage Against the Machine memories in various interviews; good reading, highlighted on his blog.
‣ And Nightmare Air kicks off a three-Wednesday residency at the Silverlake Lounge, where they are joined by Tennis System and Jason Simon.
