The gripping video for “Wait” is the third and final in the collaboration between directors Fleur and Manu and the band M83. The music on the band’s 2011 album “Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming” was cinematic to begin with, and it’s fascinating to see where the French duo takes it. In the press release, they say: “We felt it was important to reconnect with a meaningful subject that would have an echo in today’s world. The promise of a new cycle, seen through the kid’s eyes.” And, said Gonzalez: “Cinema is the biggest influence for me – even bigger than music itself, so this album is built as a soundtrack, as an imaginary film. This is what we tried to convey with this trilogy.”
