Between holiday parties, shopping and anxiety attacks over the looming 12-12-12, here are tonight’s shows:

Graham Parker & the Rumour, reunited after three decades (and even with a bit playing themselves in the upcoming film “This Is 40”) haedline the Roxy Theatre.
John Cale visits the El Rey Theatre behind last month’s release of his new “Shifty Adventures In Nookiewood,” his first new album since 2005. Cass McCombs. opens. That’s Cale’s new video for “Face to the Sky,” above.
‣ With their debut album “When It Was Now” on the way Feb. 19, Australian rockers Atlas Genius hold forth at the Troubadour, Blondfire and Beat Club at the Troubadour
