‣ Devotchka performs with a chamber orchestra at the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever. The Denver gypsy folk band just released the album “Live With the Colorado Symphony.”

‣ Social Distortion does another sold-out show at the House of Blues

‣ Rock quintet Vanaprasta returns with a batch of new material bound for their second album to headline the Satellite, with Beach Party and Le Blorr opening.
‣ Thrill Jockey Records celebrates its 20-year anniversary at the Echoplex with a lineup featuring Wooden Shjips, Trans Am, Liturgy and Man Forever.
‣ The 10th annual HoHotel benefit at the Hotel Cafe kicks off the first of two nights with a massive lineup featuring, among others, Buddy, Brendan Hines, Meiko, Gary Jules, Joe Purdy, Oak & Gorski and Jesse Thomas.
‣ And Bleached and IO Echo head up the Puma / IAMSOUND Records holiday mixer (RSVP info) at 3508 W. Washington Blvd.
