‣ If you can’t wait for the real band’s reunion shows later this year, or if you just need to “Go Your Own Way,” we recommend you check out Rumours: The Ultimate Fleetwood Mac Tribute Show tonight at the Roxy. It’s a new project including Taylor Locke and Ned Brower of Rooney, who along with Nicholas Johns, Rebecca Fishman and Jesika Miller re-create the late ’70s sound (and look, and personalities) of Fleetwood Mac. They play the characters the hilt and nail the songs.
‣ With his seventh album “Face the Music” on the way Feb. 5, R&B crooner Avant headlines the El Rey Theatre.
‣ Downtempo electro prodigy Mister Lies visits the Echo, supported by Matthewdavid, Dream Panther and Tigercide. Mister Lies’ “Dionysian” is worth a look here.
‣ And the free series Satellite Nights winds up tonight at the Satellite with a good lineup of local bands including Crushed Out (f/k/a Boom Chick), Birds of a Black Feather and Smooth Hound Smith at the Satellite
