Ears Wide Open: Feeding People

The youngsters are at it again. Jessie Jones, just 19, is at the helm of those raucous sounds coming from Orange County-bred five-piece Feeding People. Jones, guitarist-songwriter Louis Filliger, drummer Wyatt Blair, bassist Andrew Minter and keyboardist Tomas Dolas have been making kaleidoscopic noises around town for a while, and that noise has earned them a signing with Innovative Leisure. Swinging between bohemian sweetness of the title track to chaotic psychedelic rock of “Big Mother,” Feeding People’s forthcoming album “Island Universe,” produced by Hanni El Khatib and Crystal Antlers’ Johnny Bell, just might make Jones the most famous 1960s counterculture queen born in the ’90s. The album is slated for an early 2013 release.
