Garage-punk fans will tell you they’ve been fans of Audacity for a while, and the rest of L.A. is also quickly taking note of their rambunctiousness. The Fullerton-bred four-piece has been nurtured by O.C.’s garage-toting label for Burger Records in the past, which indicates they have the brawling energy and pop melodies to make anyone from teens in braces to adults feel up to a stage dive. And if you’re not ready for crowd surfing yet, their latest 7-inch single “Finders Keepers” perfectly introduces one to their playfulness and adrenaline with guitar chords that viciously climb the scale and percussion that demands head banging. A full-length is slated for later this year, but the single (which has “Onomatopoeia” as the B-side) is out April 2 on Suicide Squeeze Records.
