Video: The Neighbourhood, ‘Sweater Weather’ (2.0)

Last March, when the Neighbourhood were still an unsigned baby band, the Newbury Park-bred quintet released a video for “Sweater Weather,” this blog’s favorite song of 2012 and the the second single off their free “I’m Sorry” EP. The Neighbourhood are still a baby, although now signed and with their debut album “I Love You” en route April 23 on Columbia Records. That old video has now vanished, and this new one takes its place. It’s the work of the same two guys – longtime friends of the band Zack Sekuler and Daniel Iglesias Jr. – this one’s slicker. And, as opposed to a year ago, the identities of Jessie Rutherford, Jeremy Freedman, Zach Abels, Mikey Margott and Bryan Sammis are no longer a state secret. And there they are, catching some top-down vibe along the coast.
||| Live: The Neighbourhood are playing Coachella on April 12 and 19.
||| Previously: “A Little Death,” “Female Robbery”, “Sweater Weather”, “Wires”, “Female Robbery” (video), “Let it Go” (video)
I liked the original video better.
The Neighborhood is such a talented band. Have you listened to their new album I Love You.? It’s perfect. I’m digging their video for “Afraid” http://smarturl.it/NBHDAfraid
