The South by Southwest Music Festival begins Tuesday in Austin, and Buzz Bands LA will be there, comfortable walking shoes and earplugs at the ready. Besides our own “Dear Austin, Love L.A.” day party on Wednesday, we’ll be looking in on dozens of bands and posting daily reports. The contingent of southern California bands playing offical SXSW showcases is strong, and today’s Buzz Bands LA Show on Moheak Radio will be devoted to them. Tune in at 11 a.m. for music from bands playing our event – Cayucas, the Lonely Wild, the Dead Ships, Hindu Pirates, Pageants, Criminal Hygiene, Beach Party, Yellow Red Sparks and Fairbanks – along with a stellar cast of other groups taking on Texas. That means music from the Neighbourhood, Haim, Gliss, PAPA, Kitten, Jenny O., Big Black Delta, Rhye, Robert DeLong and more.
