Fresh off the plane from Austin and already plotting tonight’s adventures:

‣ The Thermals, fresh off torching Austin in seven shows at SXSW, head up the Check Yo Ponytail 2 night at the Echoplex. The Portland trio, whose sixth album “Desperate Ground” comes out April 16, will be supported by Joyce Manor, Dunes and Death Hymn #9.
‣ Hey, it’s the Specials, who did pretty well themselves at SXSW. The ska veterans headline Club Nokia, supported by Little Hurricane.
‣ Latin Grammy winners Bajofondo visit the Fonda Theatre behind their new album “Presente,” just out this month.
‣ And it’s a night good night for the residencies – Harriet at the Echo (supported by HighasaKite, Drive He Said and Y Luv); Hunter Hunted at the Bootleg Bar (with the Black & the White and Big Harp); and Harper Simon at the Satellite (with Willoughby, Henry Wolfe and Heather Porcarro).
