‣ U.K. folk-soul singer Lianne La Havas follows up her SXSW with two headlining shows at the El Rey Theatre. The first one happens tonight with Jamie N Commons as support.
‣ Thurston Moore’s new band Chelsea Light Moving [that’s them pictured above] also swings by L.A. after SXSW. They’ll be at the Echoplex with Grass Widow and Waxahatchee.
‣ Upstairs at the Echo, Ivan & Alyosha, Tall Tales & the Silver Lining and Daniel Ahearn & the Jones all team up for a pretty night of music.
‣ Josh Ritter & the Royal City Band play the Fonda Theatre in support of Ritter’s latest album “The Beast in Its Tracks.” Lake Street Dive opens.
‣ Bernhoft, the Norweigan one-man show of soul, plays a sold-out show at the Hotel Café. Robert Francis, Marc Carroll, Cheers Elephant and Luke Sital-Singh round out the night’s bill.
‣ Brit-rock band Everything Everything also plays a post-SXSW show in town at the Roxy Theatre with Bombay Show Pig.
‣ Pixies member Black Francis hits the Mint. So does Kim Shattuck of the Muffs.
‣ And the Ross Sea Party continues their residency over at at Harvard & Stone with help from John Graney (of the Californian), the Lexingtons and Kid Cadaver.
