‣ The first day of Burgerama goes off at the Observatory in Orange County – the lineup features Black Lips, the Spits, Bleached, Nick Waterhouse, Bizarre Ride II, the Pharcyde, Night Beats, Pangea, Merchandise, Tijuana Panthers, the Audacity, the Lovely Bad Things, White Fang, the Garden, Feeding People, the Abigails, Beach Party, Wet Hair and Cherry Glazerr.
‣ Christopher Owens, former frontman of the indie-rock band Girls, plays the Wilshire Ebell Theatre behind his solo release “Lysandre.” That’s the video for “Here We Go Again,” above.
‣ Art-pop trio Doldrums, headed up by 22-year-old Canadian Airick Woodhead, visits the Bootleg Bar, supported by Blue Hawaii and Sean Nicholas Savage.
‣ And London electro-pop quintet Citizens! headline the Echo, with Lovelife and Torches opening.
