‣ Veteran hitmakers the Goo Goo Dolls have a new album on the way, their 10th. “Magnetic” comes out May 7, and the band revs up for the release by playing the Troubadour tonight.

‣ Vacationer, impressive in October when they opened for Bombay Bicycle Club, returns to L.A. for a date at the Echo, supported by Strangeheart and the Late Great Fitzcaraldos. That’s Vacationer’s video for “Trip,” above.
‣ And at the Silverlake Lounge, local sextet Red Circle Underground celebrates the release of its new album “Ghost” on a night that also features Smooth Hound Smith, Armada, Birds of a Black Feather and the Smoky Knights.
