Video premiere: The Nervous Wreckords, ‘Let Them All Talk’

Having been a linchpin in the dirty-glam outfit Louis XIV, Brian Karscig knows a thing or two about swagger. The San Diego-bred singer-guitarist-producer, now fronting the Nervous Wreckords with Lindsay Matheson and Daniel Schraer, also seems acutely aware that his brand of Mick Jagger/Marc Bolan/Bon Scott gamesmanship has its detractors. At whom he fondly thumbs his nose. “They’re just jealous,” he sings in “Let Them All Talk,” the title track to the Nervous Wreckords’ debut album, which frames Karscig’s signature high voice in all manner of vintage rock riffage. Director Ryan Fitzgerald’s new video for the song, which stars Bekka Gunther, takes that notion of tongue-wagging a step further, as if to say: Run your mouths all you want, folks; we’re too busy having fun to care.
