‣ The Bootleg Theater hosts the 2nd Annual Los Angeles Psych Fest. This year’s lineup features: Acid Mothers Temple, Lumerians, the Shrine, Jeffertitti’s Nile [pictured above], Dahga Bloom, Sister Calypso, Brainfruit, Ahkiyyini, Strangers Family Band, Midday Veil, Wild Wild Wets, Vinyl Williams and Guy Blakeslee.
‣ Livan Beggars & Believers headline the El Rey Theatre with a special encore with Peter Murphy.
‣ Douglas J. McCarthy (aka electronic pioneer Nitzer Ebb) makes his Echo debut with Part Time Punks. Avant-garde electronic artists Octavius and Nightmare Fortress also play.
‣ Earlier in the evening, the Echo also presents Endless Boogie and Zig Zags. (5:30 show)
‣ And at the Satellite, Ladies Rock Camp L.A. puts on a showcase as part of their annual fundraiser with proceeds benefiting the Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls Los Angeles. The Cold & Lovely help celebrate.
