In 3 or Fewer Words:Â Makin’ Dad proud.
Memorable Because:Â The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, and perhaps that’s why people showed up at the Gobi tent to see James McCartney (yes, that would be Sir Paul’s son). Not only was this singer-songwriter a spitting image of his father, but the phrasing in his sweet folk-pop songs were admirably reminiscent of the most classic Paul McCartney songs. Even fans of Japandroids (whose set would follow) found themselves entranced by one of the few artists to tackle the festival armed with only an acoustic guitar.
What I’d Tell My Friends Who Were at Johnny Marr:Â I bet your tent was a lot louder.
