Another bountiful day of shows:

‣ Some must’ve gone and declared it Punk Rock Thursday – Green Day (with Best Coast supporting, which is kind of curious, we admit) rocks the Sports Arena. See our review of Green Day’s March show in Pomona.
‣ And L.A. stalwarts Bad Religion team up with the Bronx to rattle the rafters the Hollywood Palladium.
‣ Meanwhile, there’s a heaping helping of “Localchella” shows, including: Purity Ring (with Blue Hawaii) at the El Rey Theatre;
Vampire Weekend and Tanlines at the Fox Theater Pomona; Franz Ferdinand and Palma Violets doing an outdoor show at Pappy & Harriet’s in Pioneertown; Little Green Cars (with Night Terrors of 1927) at the Troubadour;  La Roux at the Fonda Theatre;  Modestep, Mimosa and Dirtyphonics at Club Nokia; and (we know people who are making the drive for this one) New Order and Johnny Marr at the Santa Barbara Bowl.
