‣ Three decades into its career and still going strong, Yo La Tengo visits the Fonda Theatre behind their 13th album, “Fade.”
‣ Big hometown show for rock quartet Dead Sara, who’ve become road warriors since releasing their debut last year. Emily Armsrong and gang headline the El Rey Theatre, supported by Secret Empire.
‣ In the middle of a big national tour after releasing two album last yaer, Of Montreal brings its theatrical live show to the Echoplex, supported by Wild Moccasins.
‣ San Diego hardcore quintet Pierce the Veil join up with Maryland pop-punks All Time Low for a big show at the Hollywood Palladium.
United Ghosts kick off a Thursday night residency at the Silverlake Lounge, supported by Flaamingoes, L.A. Witch and Dona Nicha.
‣ With their debut album “Bigfoot” just out, Cayucas heads up a great lineup at the Echo that includes Hot As Sun and Mt. Ossa.
‣ And singer Luke Top performs as part of “The Kennedy Administration,” a variety/talk-show format event hosted by Kennedy at Echoes Under Sunset (1310 Glendale Blvd.). Kennedy’s other gusts for the evening: comedian Greg Behrendt, mentalist Patrick Heikam and this blog’s Kevin Bronson.
