Richard Thompson, the 64-year-old legend whose latest album “Electric” solidifies his place in the pantheon of guitar greats, brings his electric trio to the John Anson Ford Amphitheatre.
Seven Saturdays [see our post on “One in 3”] celebrates the release of their self-titled album by bringing its spectacularly cinematic music to the Center for the Arts in Eagle Rock. Dark Rooms and Little Red Lung support.
Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti kicks off its U.S. tour with a sold-out show at the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. (The tour-ender is June 21 at the First Unitarian Church.)
Sea Wolf joins teams up with Savoir Adore for a night at the Glass House in Pomona.
Sonny & the Sunsets [see Wednesday’s post] visit the Satellite supported by Tashaki Miyaki and the Aquadolls.
‣ German electro duo Digitalism rocks a sold-out show at the Troubadour, with Franki Chan kicking things off.
‣ Chicago rockers Filligar storm into the Roxy Theatre, supported by A House for Lions and Cohasset.
‣ New L.A. quartet Holy Folk, with their debut “Motioning” due June 18, headlines the Echo, supported by Tall Tales & the Silver Lining and Fort King.
