The third day at the 2013 Sasquatch! Music Festival got a little wild and woolly – and wonderful too, thanks to Elvis Costello’s value-added but under-attended set that included a cameo from Wild Belle. (There was also an impromptu cover of “The Ghost of Tom Joad” backstage, courtesy of Costello and Mumford and Sons, but precious few witnessed that.) Mosh pits raged during sets by Torche and Fang Island. Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros did a set in the now not-so-secret tent that was so packed the crowd wouldn’t let them move off the stage without an encore. That became a sing-a-long with everyone in the tent screaming along. Shout Out Louds were dreamy fun. And there was a reason fans were issued a warning about disorientation before the Primus 3D set. The visuals behind the group became an almost Pink Floyd-ish trip, and many fans had to take off the glasses and were losing whatever they ate/drank all over the festival grounds. Oh, and Sean Nelson (of Harvey Danger) played a set that included some great new material – and, no, he didn’t play “Flagpole Sitta” despite repeated requests. While Nelson was busy moving on, Buzz Bands LA photographer Carl Pocket got a move on and shared this gallery.
