KCSNnew-largeSummer fever is raging here at BBLA headquarters, and tonight’s L.A. Buzz Bands Show on KCSN (88.5 FM, streaming at KCSN.org) will reflect that, so to speak. We’ll hear music from the Reflections, in honor of their album-release show tonight, as well as tunes from The 88 and Crash Kings, each of whom have new albums coming out Tuesday. In addition, I’ll play a block of music from bands playing Saturday night at the opener of the free Chinatown Summer Nights series – including a 35-year-old single from the Furys (who have reunited and are playing Chinatown) and jams from Jutty Ranx and Sister Rogers. Also: tunes from the Happy Hollows, Night Riots and Northern American, and a little Americana excursion with songs from the Coals and Phoebe Bridgers.

Tune in at 7 p.m. for Buzz Bands LA’s weekly hour of SoCal goodness. After the jump, the playlist:

The Reflections, “Disconnected”
Tapioca & the Flear, “Mellotron”
The Furys, “Say Goodbye to the Black Sheep”
Jutty Ranx, “Don’t Let Me Down”
Sister Rogers, “Vacancion”
